SHE-CREEDS (Strengthening Higher Education for Climate-Responsive Agriculture, Energy-Efficient Technologies, and Digital Innovation in Sub-Saharan Africa) is a collaborative higher education initiative funded under the Intra-Africa Academic Mobility Scheme, aimed at strengthening the capacity of African universities to respond to climate change. The Intra-Africa Academic Mobility Scheme, managed by the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) on behalf of the European Union, supports partnerships between African higher education institutions to promote academic mobility and regional integration across the continent.

The project focuses on mainstreaming climate change into existing postgraduate programmes by promoting knowledge exchange and mobility in key areas. Through this approach, SHE-CREEDS seeks to support sustainable development, strengthen food and energy security, enhance green skills, and improve graduate employability across Sub-Saharan Africa.

The project is coordinated by The Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology (NM-AIST), Tanzania, and implemented in partnership with several universities across Africa and Europe. Together, we are building a future-oriented higher education system for a resilient and green Africa.
