It is a pleasure to invite you to the 2022 edition of the Human Rights Week at Ghent University, from 5th to 9th December.

This year the activities of the Human Rights Week will focus on the theme ‘How do we fight? The many ways to defend our human rights’.

The programme includes the film screening of ‘Why we Fight?’, ‘The New Corporation’, and ‘Duty of Care’ followed by panel discussions with their directors, lectures on business and human rights, decolonisation and literature, and online intimidation of environmental activists, the presentation of the exhibition ‘Stitching as Rights Narrative’, and a public debate about climate change and human rights at the library De Krook.

The full programme is available in this link and here.

The closing event on Friday 9th December is a joint initiative with Ghent City, and the events on Monday 5th and Tuesday 6th are organised with the support of Vrede vzw.

Feel free to share this invitation with family, friends and colleagues.
